DOCUMENTARY
ON THE FED
In 1996, the Mises Institute released a groundbreaking
documentary: Money, Banking, and the Federal
Reserve. The film detailed the history of the Federal
Reserve and became an essential resource during
Ron Paul’s presidential campaigns, which elevated
the Fed to a key issue in political discourse. Until 2024,
it was the most viewed video on our YouTube channel.
This year, the Mises Institute produced a long-needed
sequel: Playing with Fire: Money, Banking, and
the Federal Reserve. Featuring commentary by Ron
Paul, Jim Grant, Tom DiLorenzo, Joseph Salerno, Mark
Thornton, Jonathan Newman, and Alex Pollock, the
film reveals the dangers of the contemporary Fed, its
reckless response to the 2008 financial crisis, and how
its covid-era monetary policy benefited the elite at
the expense of the rest of America.

at our 2024 Supporters Summit and is
available free on our YouTube channel
