At our Human Action Conference in May 2024, many
knowledgeable admirers gathered at our Auburn
campus to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Mises’s
Human Action. More than a dozen of our faculty
members spoke on the legacy of Mises’s magnum
opus. They reflected on what Mises accomplished
in this monumental treatise and how it became the
foundation for the contemporary Austrian School.
Several of the speakers also reflected on how Human
Action has influenced their own personal economic
            thinking, writing, and careers.
This conference and the insights of the presenters
are a testament to the fact that we truly stand on the
shoulders of giants in the cause of liberty. Thanks to
all of our generous donors who sponsored speakers,
students, and receptions, and helped to publish the
75th anniversary edition of Human Action.

Videos of the presentations are available at
mises.org/action2024, and the essays will all be
            published in a commemorative volume.
