30 YEARS OF MISES.ORG
2025 marked the 30th
anniversary of the founding
of mises.org. Since then,
mises.org has become an
enormous website that
publishes new articles, podcasts,
and other multimedia content
six times per week. Today,
the website contains tens of
thousands of articles, thousands
of lectures, and dozens of
ebooks and audiobooks, all
freely accessible to the public.
Lew Rockwell recognized
the importance of the Mises
Institute having a digital
presence. As soon as it became
possible to purchase domain
names and contract with
private servers, we purchased
“mises.org,” and the rest is
history.

From very humble beginnings—sparked by Senior Fellow
Peter Klein, who was only a Mises Institute Research Fellow
at the time—our website has become a hub for essential
free content for more than 5 million visitors a year.
Mises.org has become a central powerhouse of free
content on Austrian economics, free markets, and truth.
The early iteration featured basic yet important content
like the Institute’s mission and purpose, biographies of
Mises and Rothbard, Membership and conference details,
and a book catalog. Now our website houses archived
essays, lectures, and books by premier economists and
scholars, as well as educational programs and tools like
Mises Academy and our Beginners Series. Our written and
video content increases each month.
We are honored to have curated such a unique archive
and educational hub over the last three decades. Mises.org
has been one of our best offensives in holding the line on
truth against the state. We are proud to publish all of this
content for free thanks to our wonderful donors.
We look forward to the next 30 years of unapologetic,
quality free content.
